Not long after Nights in Black Leather, Peter made his first silent short film. "Waldeslust" gives us Peter being spied on by a cute blond boy in the wilds of Land's End in San Francisco. The film culminates in an encounter between the two of them and features a controversial water sports scene that is sometimes cut from existing prints.
The only existing prints of "Waldeslust" are on 8mm, the way it was originally sold by mail order from Peter Berlin. The picture quality is fair, but the search goes on for a 16mm print in good condition.
